Extruded aluminum aprons give the Centennial utility as well as beauty, with a satin finish that is mar-and-wear resistant. The bottoms of the gracefully tapered legs are covered with Matching aluminum to protect the legs from scuffing. Easily cleaned aluminum cuts maintenance time. All exposed wood surfaces except playing rails are finished in rosewood. Playing rails are finished with a special rosewood burn-resistant finish. All concealed wood surfaces are treated with a moisture repellent. All exposed aluminum surfaces are anodized, have a mar-resistant, satin aluminum color finish.
1¾ -in, thick x 4½ -in. wide in the exposed surface, of select cabinet woods, rosewood faced. Fitted with the latest improved Brunswick cushions, containing live rubber, cemented to rail edge and covered with cushion cloth. Individual rails can be removed quickly without dismantling aprons, Rails have large rounded contours. Mother of pearl sights. New, extra durable Formica rails-resistant to burns, marring, and liquid effects-available at extra cost.
Tow oval-shaped laminated legs with tapered ends, fitted with 6%" high aluminum basing attached to bottom.
Aprons. Aprons of extruded aluminum with grooved and fluted contour to match contour of corner castings and flow into rounded edge of rails. Aprons securely fastened to rail and sturdily braced to base frame. Roomy ball rack in foot cod apron of gully and pocket tables has four compartments holding five balls each.
Base Frame. The massive base frame is made of hardwoods, consisting of two side rails, two end rails, and two cross stretchers. The end rails, longitudinal stretchers, and horizontal cross members give a positive support to slate bed. The top surface is carefully leveled to receive slate.
Rail Castings. Aluminum castings with natural finish at each pocket opening. Castings have a smooth, rounded contour and are molded to receive pockets.
Corner Castings. Aluminum castings with natural finish at each corner. The Centennial corner casting is grooved and fluted to match apron.
Rail bolts fasten directly through the slate into bottom of the rail eliminating any vibration and increasing accuracy with perfect rebound angles.
Rail bolts are handy to get at-can be easily tightened by the operator at any time. It is not necessary to remove the table aprons to lighten rail bolts.
Cushion cloth is easier to attach at recovering time with the new type of rail construction. Each rail can be removed individually without dismantling aprons.
The new type of construction removes the danger of breaking expensive slate when fastening rails to the table.

A matched set of slate, consisting of three pieces one inch thick, each piece backed up by a wood frame, is mounted. on top of base frame. The slate joints are kept in perfect alignment by metal dowels and ferrules, Slate is accurately drilled for roil bolts, arid is fastened to slate frame by concealed screws. The bottom of slate I frame is planed and the top surface precision ground to obtain a level surface.
A one piece molded, semi-hard, robber composition pocket is provided for pocket openings.
