Mahogany with white and green holly inlay. The finish is our regular No. 2 stock Mahogany color and is what is known as all egg shell gloss, which means that after being given the ordinary cabinet finish it is hand rubbed to a dull polish, which can be more easily kept clean than any other finish.
4 in. x 2 in. thick. compound construction built up from various kinds of hardwoods in different grains, to insure strength and prevent them being affected by climatic conditions. Invisible cushion bolts covered by blind cushion rails, built up in several thicknesses of material, placed in an alternate run of grain, finished with fancy figured veneer on the exterior. Cap rails 7/8 in., thick x 2¾ in. and finished with ¼ in. rosewood on top. Solid rosewood corners. Ivory diamond sights. Inlaid metal fancy name plate. 8 Rail bolts on each side and 4 on each end of 4½ x 9 table, and 10 rail bolts on each side and 5 on each end of 5 x 10 table.
The cushions furnished with this table are our Monarch style No. 1813 Match Game, perfect angle. These are made in our own rubber factory at Muskegon, Mich., and from a secret formula, which chemists of rival concerns have never been able to master. Our guarantee as to their accuracy of angle, speed and durability is evidenced by the name plate countersunk in the cap of the cushion rail.
The Cloth and Playing Equipment, such as Balls, Cues, Cue Racks, Markers, etc., supplied with this table are invariably of the very best quality. A special schedule embodying changes to suit the ideas of the purchaser is furnished in each individual case.
This table has what is known in our factory as the Jumbo frame work, which means that it is unusually heavy. The top of the side and end sections of the body are 7 in. thick, gradually tapering to 1¾ in. at the bottom. Width of sides and ends 14½ in. Double cross stretchers 1¾ in. thick x 9 in., reinforced at end with blocks 8¼ in. long x 1¾ in. thick x 5½ in. wide, countersunk into side frame. Side stretchers secured by bolts to the reinforcing blocks, making extraordinary strong bridge work. The sides are attached to the bead blocks by 5/8 in. hardwood dowels, reinforced by two frame bolts, countersunk in 2¼ in. blocks, screwed and glued to the side frames. The table is built in sections and can be taken apart for K.D shipment. Legs 8½ in. square, tongued and grooved compound construction, reinforced by corner blocks, double cross veneered and rigidly built into end frame work of body with dowels and bolts. The wood construction is all of the very best quality, cabinet made and put together in a most thorough manner. All joints made close and secure and all mitres absolutely accurate. Joints tongued anti grooved, strongly doweled and glued or screwed firmly together. All corners and edges made perfectly smooth and true.
Best quality Vermont slate, three pieces to the set, the joints being made with brass dowels and sockets having no screw holes in playing surface. Thickness of slate 1in. Reinforcing wood frame 1in. thick. Hardwood trim at pocket openings.
