The Monroe table is the lowest priced table of semi-Jumbo type of construction. It is also designed to meet a medium-priced demand and offers an excellent attraction in this grade. The sides of the Monroe table are made of five-ply construction and of somewhat lighter design than the Regal or Regina tables. The top molding, is made of built-up lumber and is 4 x 3 3/8" in dimension. The legs are made of 5-ply seasoned stock and reinforced with glue blocks in all corners. Sides are doweled and bolted into the legs and the table is made rigid by cross stretchers. The very best workmanship is employed in making this table, which is constructed in a thorough and careful manner under supervision of years of experience.
The Monroe table cushion rails are constructed of a 3-ply body consisting of three layers of woods of alternating grain glued together to insure the rails against climatic changes. The center of these plies through which the cushion bolts are placed is of hard maple. Maple is used for this purpose because it holds the cushion bolts firmly in place. The top of the rail is constructed of American walnut. The rails are securely fastened to the table by invisible cushion bolts covered by blind cushion rail facing which is built up of 5-ply compound construction and faced with a selected grade mahogany veneer.
The pocket irons are our No.6 Style which are countersunk in the ends of the cushion rails by means of brass sockets.
The playing equipment furnished with the Monroe is as ordered.
